Are you in need of senior services? Do you have a loved one who needs additional support a home? Caring for aging parents can often be difficult. Hiring help for your loved one can help them maintain their independence at home and help take some of the pressure off you.
This is a blog I wrote that is very close to my heart. As you know, we help assist busy professionals deal with the daily minutia of life. From errand running and grocery shopping to arranging pet care and planning parties and of course all things in between.
We also provide companion visits and have programs to assist seniors in their homes as well. Whether it be a “typical” home environment or another option. Grocery shopping, prescription pick up, laundry and anything else they need. Sometimes it’s as simple as climbing a ladder and changing a light bulb; easy for us, not safe for a senior living at home alone. Other times, our visits require us to assist them in writing out birthday cards and paying bills, perhaps taking out the trash. Our perhaps helping them and their families navigate the healthcare system and coordinating additional services and benefits as they need them. The needs and services are ultimately endless.
But what makes our services stand out? Ultimately, it’s the sincere relationship and peace of mind one gains from having one of our team members consistently being vigil to the ongoing changes and care required for our clients. By doing this, we can accommodate a variety of needs or share our resources for more medically necessary care.
A sincere story we wish to share: We have a client who had recently experienced an unexpected hospital stay. She is elderly and her children all live distantly (states away). Despite the best efforts of family, they can not be here on a regular basis and require hours of travel time. But thanks to the individualized personal services we offer, we were able to be there to help facilitate her care, transfer home and recovery. While the hospital did their part, we were there to welcome her home, make her feel comfortable and around the people she has grown to rely on.
By collaborating with the medical care she also receives, we have created a schedule that allows her to live life to her fullest potential while recovering. I can’t even begin to describe for you the sense of relief the family has knowing there is someone else local to help keep them aware of the ongoing changes and needs of their beloved. From brushing her hair to visiting her at meal time so that she has a better appetite. All this, to improve her quality of life.
Why I share this with you? Because if you or a loved one find you are overwhelmed and unable to manage everything on your own. There are people in the world that still care. Look for them. Talk to them and discuss your needs. You don’t have to go it alone.
Services such as those provided by a lifestyle management company can assist those recovering from surgery as well. Have you ever been put on limited mobility and wondered who will take the trash out? Empty the litter box? Do the dishes? Pick up your favorite foods and snacks? It’s like having a family member in your back pocket at all times. We are there for you…when you need it most…
