Add Some Energy to Your Marketing
How’s your start of September?? We’ve been back to school now for exactly one week and have already had 2 back to school nights, and 2 more this week. It’s amazing how much these kids learn and do in one year, isn’t it?
Do you ever notice though, how they don’t necessarily worry about the “end result”? They just go. Each day is a new day, they do the “work” they need to do, miss a few assignments here or there. Sometimes they do new things, sometimes its developing and enhancing old skills… but you never really hear a kid come home from school wondering how an art project they did will get them into college. Or how those 4 spelling tests they practiced so hard for didn’t make their report card come any faster…
It’s something I think entrepreneurs should focus more on. More of “doing the work” and less of “expecting” immediate results.
Let me explain. 😊
I call it the rubber band – boomerang. This is a phenomenon I teach my Concierge Academy students all the time. And I want to share it with you.
As entrepreneurs, many people falsely have “expectations” that specific results come from one specific action, but the reality is – that results come from taking deliberate MASSIVE action.
Marketing with Action
As you know, I often talk about the Top 4 ways to grow a Concierge Business as the fastest way to get clients. BUT – this work still takes time. And it needs to be done over and over, not just once!
For example – let’s say you go to a networking event on a Tuesday night, like I did last Tuesday. I know at this stage of my business, that when I go out to connect with others, I am sending out a boomerang if you will. When I come back from the event and connect with others, I do NOT have an expectation that the action I took (going to the networking event) will immediately spring back to me like a rubber band in the form of a new client.
Instead, what I did is shared, connected, offered help and support to others, and either started or deepened relationships knowing that the energy I put OUT WILL come back to me like a boomerang.

Your job is to market – and do so consistently. Day after day, week after week. Marketing is key.
NOT just once expecting the spring back of a rubber band.
Instead, each thing you do, whether you’re networking, speaking at a chamber event, sponsoring a raffle giveaway or talking up your neighbors, imagine each action going out into the universe like a boomerang that will eventually find its way back to you in the exact right moment. 😊
So, the lesson for you here is that the more action and energy you put out there through your marketing, the more boomerangs you have collecting energy that will find their way back…
